Karis Foundation works with community leaders and schools to provide access to menstrual products and conduct training/ Information sessions to adolescent girls on menstrual and reproductive health that will improve their educational performance and keep them in school.
Shedding Light on Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS):
Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) is a significant public health problem and is one of the commonest hormonal imbalances affecting women of reproductive age. The condition affects an estimated 8–13% of women of reproductive age, and up to 70% of cases are undiagnosed(WHO, 2023). Many women and girls in Zambian communities remain undiagnosed or lack comprehensive information about managing the condition. The foundation play’s a vital role in raising PCOS awareness and empowering women and girls with knowledge.
